Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee, MA
Maiko currently practices as a therapist trainee while finishing up her final year in her counseling education at Regent University. She completed her undergraduate in Sociology at University of California Davis in 2018 and has served the city of Sacramento and Oakland as a youth life coach from 2018 to 2021. Maiko is also an immigrant from Japan and has lifelong experiences engaging in multicultural environments. She is also a member of law enforcement and military communities. Maiko has clinical nutrition background and language field experiences as a Japanese and English bilingual. She is passionate about guiding clients to embrace their healing journeys while restoring their mental health and pursuing productive lives. She approaches therapy from a holistic and humanistic view, considering their developmental changes, surrounding relationships, cultural contexts, life stages, and their unique strengths.
