Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee
Hello, my name is Kimberly and I am a Marriage & Family Therapist Trainee here at Hope for Healthy Families under the supervision of Isabel K’Burg LMFT #86991 and Patricia Vargas LMFT# 111468. I received my BA in Communication Studies from California State University, Sacramento. I am currently working on my Masters in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University.
I strive to build a therapeutic relationship through trust and respect so clients feel heard, understood, and validated. I believe that challenges are natural occurrences everyone experiences in their life’s journey. My goal is to collaborate with you to meet your needs in a safe, empathic, and non-judgmental environment. I work from various therapeutic interventions with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral interventions to build coping skills, increase self-awareness, and engage strengths and resources one already embodies to face life’s challenges. I look forward to supporting you!
