Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee
Hello! My name is Allissa Maurer and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee at Hope for Healthy Families working under the supervision of Isabel K’Burg, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #86991. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Sacramento, and am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Counseling from Palo Alto University.
My goal is to provide an accepting and empathic environment that encourages personal growth. I am committed to offering a safe space where my clients can process difficult experiences, thoughts, and emotions without judgment. My therapeutic approach includes empowering my clients to find their inner strengths and abilities so they can leave counseling with the tools they need to meet their goals and overcome difficulties.
