Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Greetings to All,
My name is Dr. Masoud Ghafoer. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I have obtained my Doctorate degree in the field of Counseling Psychology from California School for Professional Psychology (CSPP) at the Alliant International University. I obtained my undergraduate degree in the field of health science in the Netherlands. I have a passion for psychology as well as providing help for individuals, couples and families in need of mental health services.
Throughout my career as a psychotherapist, I have worked in various settings providing counseling and therapy services to individuals, groups, couples and families. I believe that each individual is unique and requires a tailored approach to address his/her personal therapy needs. So, my goal is to apply an integrative therapy approach when working with my clients to address their concerns, challenges and goals.
My diverse background of multiculturalism such as being able to speak and/or understand multiple languages (Farsi/Dari, Pashtu, Dutch, English), as well as my exposure to many diverse cultures, and my academic background have prepared me for a deep understanding of human nature and the process of relationship development.
Some of my personal characteristics include being caring, passionate, sensitive and attentive to others’ needs, good listening skills, patience, the ability to relate to others, and proper management of high conflict situations.
I am thrilled to work with Hope for Healthy Families Counseling Center in an effort to provide services for individuals, couples, families of the wonderful communities of Carmichael and Elk Grove.
