Certified Health Coach
I am passionate that everyone deserves to flourish! I am dedicated to helping people, adults and kids, improve their health & well-being so they can flourish in all aspects of their lives. Optimal health includes feeling good about how we live, how we move, how we eat and how we think.
I have been heavy most of my life. As a girl scout, we did a fundraiser by bringing in pennies equal to our waist measurement. I had more pennies than anyone. My thighs were huge and I was always uncomfortable in my own skin. Every time I tried to eat less, my Mom would say, “now is not the right time.” I went on my first diet at the age of 12, experienced success, and started the yo-yo dieting that would haunt me into my 40’s. What size I was at the time affected my self image. I was always active in sports and started running on my own in high school. I identified as “fit and heavy”. I ran to eat, basically. My weight continued to bounce around most of my life until about the age of 45. 3 kids and a lupus diagnosis later, I started really paying attention to the food I was putting in my body PLUS what I was doing for a workout.
Mom of 3 amazing humans and happily married to the same wonderful school teacher for 26 years,I believe in practicing what I preach, laughing a lot, ditching toxic people from your life, and enjoying a varied workout routine. I love to move! I don’t go anywhere without my yoga mat! I also enjoy Pilates, HIIT, walking, Barre, weights, golf, and hiking. I have run 10 Marathons, including Boston, a ½ Iron, many ½ marathons and Triathlons, and ridden several metric century bike rides. I have moved to non-impact type routines for the sake of my unique joints and because I have long term goals for movement. I enjoy trying new recipes from interesting vegan, vegetarian and gluten free cookbooks
I hold certifications from AFFA as a group exercise instructor and I am a Master Certified Health Coach. My podcast, Let’s All Flourish, just enjoyed a solid first season with 16 episodes.
